Kimberly lives on Long Island with her husband and new puppy, Archie, while her two sons, her proudest accomplishments, embark on their own lives. When she’s not working or writing, she picks up poop or dabbles in gardening (is there anything better than a home-grown cucumber?) . She loves to spend afternoons reading, eating chocolate and porch-sitting with her man as they settle into the empty nest.

Kimberly, most people are allergic to cats, not dogs. And, actually it’s the dander they are allergic to. Anyway, I can’t really blame your husband: once you get a dog, your life no longer belongs to you. No more last minute weekend getaways, etc. Even cats need someone to come check on them. That’s why we haven’t replaced my hubby’s cats that died a few years ago. That, and we need to get our wood floors redone. We didn’t realize til they were dying that the cat box was too high for them to get all the way in. So much for my solution to now getting kitty litter all over the house! 😉 ❤ 😉 ❤

You’re so right. Although a pet would surely bring joy, we are quite used to the freedom of coming and going as we please. I grew up with cats and adore them and I do miss having one sometimes.

One last post and I’ll let you be (perils of working from home — I’m easilty distracted :))…3 things: 1., last Outlander plug — best historical fiction I ever read and if you get through her 7 novels by June you’ll be just in time for the 8th book, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood!; 2., congrats on the self-publishing — loved your book and will absolutely buy the “formal” final version!; 3., final thought — still think about that awesome crumb cake!

Hey, it’s Elyce, I met you at the Branding workshop. Couldn’t find your email. I’m reading Both Sides, I really like it. Interesting the way you have it all in present tense. I get so tangled in past, past tense – “she hadn’t had the notion until much later…” Anyway, shoot me an e-mail, there are a lot of really great workshops (on-line classes) starting in May, one of them is about psychological motivations of characters and sounds fabulous. Are you going to the Luncheon?

BTW, wanted to let you know that my MIL read LG and loved it (as I think I mentioned) and then went on the read the published version of BSOL (hope you don’t mind the abbrev 🙂 )…she was actually an early reader of the manuscript, but wanted to read the published work…and loved that too! Keep up the good “work”!
