Hello Readers!

Or I should say specifically, Hi Mom and Aunt Terry! Well, it’s a start. Welcome to my first blog ever. A monumental experience for me, which should give you  some insight into my life. However, please don’t let that deter you from staying..

On the off-chance I should ever find myself blessed with more than two readers, allow me to introduce myself. I’m a wife and mother of two active boys, living on Long Island. I work from home (read as: wears pj’s until 3pm),  until I’m forced to get dressed and shlep the boys to their activities.

I serve my family chicken up to four nights a week because cookbooks are the only books I cannot stand to read. But don’t feel sorry for these people. They’re thriving despite my less than enthusiastic approach to meals. And because I love dessert, everyone wins.

My idea of a perfect day starts with a cup of coffee, ends with peanut chocolate ice cream and is stuffed in between with hours of reading fiction, intermittently broken up by a Mad Men episode or a Channing Tatum dance.

In reality, afternoons and evenings are filled with taxiing the boys around, checking homework, doing dishes, and coordinating showers until finally, when all is said and done, I am rewarded with a slow crawl into my bed, clutching a book, always a book. When my eyes lose focus, I drift blissfully into dreams until the alarm sounds and I do it all again.

I know. I sound like every other mom and wife on Long Island. Except I also write books. Good ones. Only no one outside of my coveted circle of friends has read them.  Yet.

Welcome to my blog. It’s nice to meet you.
